About the Author
I am a 32 year old woman living in the Heartland of the good ol’ USA. I am a Christian who attends a new PCA church plant called Redeemer. Redeemer came from the congregation of Zion Church, my beloved church community I was a part of since I was 14 years old. Being a part of these church bodies is more than simply honoring a membership or a tradition. It’s a way to remind one another that we don’t live for ourselves, that we live to serve Christ until He comes again. I praise God for the folks in these churches who have prayed for me, ministered to me, taught me and loved me, all in the name of Jesus, for so many years. My personal story is one that reflects a God, who in his divine goodness, loves me so much he chose to die for me. I live in this gospel truth every day.
One summer day just before I began my freshman year at UNL, a handsome guy named Jeremy Tredway walked into the church office where I worked. We shared a small inside joke based on our lowly knowledge of the Spanish language and that began the most wonderful relationship of my life. The following year found Jeremy in St. Louis at Covenant Seminary and me atop Lookout Mountain at Covenant College. One semester of long-distance dating convinced us that three more years of it just might kill us, so we married the following June on a beautiful, sunny, blue-skied Saturday.
In St. Louis we began to realize who God had made us to be and how he intended us to work together. Long story short, Jeremy graduated from seminary and pursued his interest in computers. I graduated with a middle school teaching degree and we immediately moved back to our hometown to further build community with our home church, our friends and our family. Now Jeremy works full-time as a web developer and part-time doing freelance. My days are full with my silly/fun/sweet/independent five year old and numerous projects that land on my plate. I work as a freelance writer and photographer—and I love what I do.
There’s so much more to Jeremy, Liv and me than I can write in this space. So read and enjoy our blog. And prepare yourself for lots of kid pics and parenting discussions. It’s my life, therefore I write about it.
