Fun, Fun, Fun

Not your shiny bike or walker.
Not your expensive Leapfrog toys.
Not the myriad stuffed animals you own.

What are the most fun things to play with when you're 16 months old?

Folded laundry representing hours of Mommy's work.
Daddy's big clunky shoes and Mommy's sandals.
Any minute piece of lint, plastic or dirt on the living room rug.
Neatly organized and boxed MTG cards.
Magazine racks.
DVD, VCR and stereo buttons.
And finally, horror of horrors, the kitchen trashcan.

Hmmm... And she's not even walking yet. : /

Has she discovered the wonders of the toilet or the toilet paper roll yet?

Not yet. I'm sure that she will, though, once she's walking. Yikes...

Ha! Kate loves all of those things, though she does also play with her toys quite a bit. Taking folded clothes out of drawers and putting them back disheveled is another favorite here. as is the toliet and toliet paper.

she'd get along with Caleb too. he loves loves loves buttons on alarm clocks and radios and such (and I pay the price at a random hour in the morning if I forget to check if the alarm is set to "on" or not). boxes of tissues are a favorite too...ooh look there's another one! [yank] hey there's another [yank] etc etc.

My daughter used to sit in front of the CD rack and pull them out over and over again. She'd also love to play with measuring cups. Now that she's in kindergarten, I miss those days!

"Once she's walking..." --sounds like a great title for a song or story. :)
