Are there days where I’m flying by the seat of my pants and I have no idea who to photograph? Yes and yes! Tonight is Magic Scotch night at our house and so I lucked out with models literally walking into my home. The downside is the darkness—indoors and at night. Note the grain in this shot! 1600 ISO on my wonderful and (now-ancient) Nikon D2x. It’s an amazing camera, just not a great indoor shooter. I have a new camera and maybe once my Christmas duties are over I’ll configure the gorgeous little body and start shooting with that one. Not maybe. That will happen. It must. #dpp2017

We’re down to the final five days on the DPP and I’ve really enjoyed it this year. #dpp2017

Couldn’t be more proud of this woman and her love for the little people in her arms and at her feet this morning. #fosterlove #dpp2017

A very happy Monday due to this lovely woman and a salad I can’t stop thinking about. #dpp2017

Two words: captive audience. ;)

Oh my goodness, I couldn’t love this shot more. This is why, when you’re doing the December Photo Project, it pays to bring your camera everywhere—even when it’s heavy and the case is bulky and you look kind of ridiculous hauling a camera bag into the store alongside your purse which is already huge.
I’m not listing names under these images on purpose, but I hope this friend spies her photo and approves. Thank you for being game for my photo project!

The only problem with writing commentary underneath an image is that awkward moment when you really can’t think of anything to say. This gentleman is a kind soul indeed, he just happens to be featured when my brain is completely thought-less due to an end-of-the-semester head cold. #dpp2017

“Dad! You’re supposed to close your eyes!”
This project makes me laugh more and more each day.

One of us had zero chill during this briefest of shoots. And it wasn’t me. #dpp2017

Today my brain is mush. My featured subject, however, has enough brains and beauty for the both of us.
