Momentum for Monday
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
-Galatians 6:9
I stumbled upon a blog where the blogger picked a bible verse to memorize and meditate on at the start of each new year. Galatians 6:9 is that verse for me in 2008. While it can easily be applied to a multitude of situations, I feel it most acutely applies to parenthood. Do not become weary, do not give up, wait for the harvest.

I guess something was translated poorly, because last I knew one didn’t really have an option in becoming weary.
Perhaps it meant “do not become disheartened when doing good fails to show a favorable outcome”?
I do like Becca’s version more, however GalaxyQuest is more exciting:
“Never give up! Never surrender!”

I so needed to read this today, right now. Thanks

I think this verse is exactly like the GalaxyQuest line, with a little extra on the side. Physical and emotional weariness are just part of the human package, but I see this verse as a rallying cry to bolster the spirit. Never give up, never surrender! : )
