backporch

When one leaves a dirty training toilet on one’s back porch, then one should not be surprised when it gets used.

In the broad daylight.

By a particular four year old.

Who then said, “I just teasing, Mom.”

Clearly, someone needs to put that potty away.

Hilarious. Maybe parents having trouble getting their toddlers to to take a shine to the potty should try the alfresco potty! All it requires is good weather and a lack of worry of what the neighbors think. :)

P.S. I like the through-the-screen shot. It adds a nice touch to the photo.

    I agree–nice shot.
But then I love all of your photography. :)

Ben Homan told us (years ago, after a trip to China) about the Chinese version of alfresco potty–the slit in the children’s trousers, called (at least by Ben) the “poop chute”.

Wonder if they are still doing that in Beijing, or if they cleaned up the toddlers before the Olympic games.

Great pic, great story, great writing…the nitty-gritty happenings of every day life are always the best inspiration for a good blog post, aren’t they?

    Love ya.
