Just as my poor-man’s cable was turned off (explanation below), I discovered televisionwithoutpity.com. Not the best timing, huh? Another fun site recently discovered… flickfilosopher.com. Her bias meter is worth a few extra laughs.
We used to have cable, albeit the least expensive cable plan possible. Give me the major networks, CNN, and my all-time, personal favorite – TLC – and I’m happy. Last December all my television viewing pleasure came crashing down… Time Warner Cable ripped The income-producing Learning Channel from my world. Goodbye, Trading Spaces. Goodbye, The Baby Story. I will miss you! In protest I cancelled our cable. Unfortunately, the gal who cancelled it seemed terribly unconcerned with my protest. Yesterday the cable company finally made it out to our neighborhood to do the ugly deed (3 months late). S-i-g-h. I spent the later portion of my evening amidst a strange noise – Silence.

television without pity is a pretty hilarious site….i’ve wasted much time reading the recaps of shows :)

veeeeery interesting, bobby. how’d you stumble upon his site? my conclusion is that he wrote some of the questions on his FAQ page… there was a point where it sounded like he was dialoging (sp?) with himself! however, i was only about 1/16 of the way through the page. y-a-w-n…

i love lloyd! a fansite is just what he needs! i could post all of his culturally sensitive, middle-of-the-road-if-he-didn’t-see-it reviews, and even his extremely-flagrant-reviews-for-when-his-readers-get-bored-or-kory-kavan-is-ignoring-his-advances reviews. fantastic. i’ll need a large account from a reputable service provider though, because if i post his 25 weekly articles on:
visual arts
movies
tv
theater
auditory arts
concerts
new releases
and food reviews
‘ribfest’
‘dining out’
then i’m going to need a whole lotta server space. that and his 1,000 picture gallery of lloyd poses will be a pain to upload. hmm…
