And people think *I’m* a movie geek. I salute you, madame.

wow, that’s quite a goal. he’s a prolific guy, johnny is.

i’ve seen every movie nicole kidman’s made since she came to america (so, from dead calm on – i haven’t seen any of the miniseries or movies from australia when she was a teenager. can’t say i desire to either).

    dead calm
days of thunder (ok i must admit i only watched a part of this. it’s soooo bad)
    flirting
    billy bathgate
    far and away
    my life
    to die for
    batman forever
the leading man (again, only saw part, but nk only has a cameo)
    the portrait of a lady
    the peacemaker
    practical magic
    eyes wide shut
    moulin rouge!
    the others
    birthday girl
    panic room
    the hours
    cold mountain

haven’t seen the human stain or dogville which haven’t been released here yet.

i think i’ve seen almost every renee zellweger movie, too. all except the bachelor, the low life, return of the texas chainsaw massacre, and 8 seconds.

    sad, but true.

i’ve got my work cut out for me, eh?

b, i really liked 8 seconds (in spite of luke perry).

You don’t need to see Broadcast News (unless you want to…it’s actually one of my old faves) it features Joan Cusack (not John).

What a great goal. I do love John Cusack.

i luuuuuve john cusack. i don’t remember him in cradle will rock, but luuuuuve that movie too. hank azaria is in it and i love it! you’ve seen much more than i have of his movies though!…

i just figured out a few screenings ago that renee zellweger was in reality bites. wierd.

Doh! I’m wrong. According to imdb (which is probably where you got the list in the first place, eh?) John is an angry messenger in Broadcast News. For the life of me I can’t remember him…

So, you must see Broadcast News after all. Yeah!

Having spent my teen years in the ’80s, I can proudly add these cinematic masterpieces (ha!) to my Cusack repetoire, which otherwise mirrors my better half’s list (less those indicated):

    True Colors [check]
    The Grifters [check]
    Hot Pursuit [check]
    One Crazy Summer [check]
    The Sure Thing [check]
    Class [check]

    America’s Sweethearts [uncheck]
    Bullets Over Broadway [uncheck]

  9. rt Mar 5, 2004 4:38 PM
