Upon a Star

Wishing:

…I had more time to read Anna Karenina and that the Lincoln City Libraries would grant a special allowance to me whereby I would never be charged overdue fees.

This wall hanging was in Livia’s nursery… or that an artiste would paint a mural for free.

…A magic wand could be waved over my home and all my clutter would be brilliantly organized. Oh to be Mary Poppins right now!

…I could tape Livia’s pacifier to her nose (just for short naps and only ’til she figures out how to hang onto it).

…The fruits of the Spirit would flow from me constantly. How wonderful would it be to always be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient and full of self-control? Darn my self-serving nature.

Wishes Fulfilled:

…The Amazing Race 5 series premiere is airing again tonight! Woohoo!

…Jeremy & Livia.

TAR5 was great! i would so love to be on this show… my competitive nature, if accompanied by an athlete’s body, would kick butt on this race. alas, i am not an athlete and i fear my numerous health issues would cause some trouble in this type of game. so i must sit at home and thoroughly enjoy the show instead! adventure-seekers and competitive spirits, partner up for this race! and tune in tuesday night for ep 2. (and no, i’m not getting paid to say that).

i could easily paint that for you (it’s a fairly simple design) if you are truly interested.

i’d be happy to do it as soon as my horse stuff ends in august. september would be a good month for a painting project.
(when i was little, i thought i was a princess, but then i thought that it would be more fun to be a cowgirl. now i’m starting to think that the princess deal isn’t so bad.)

uh… no way. you’re going to be starting COLLEGE in the fall… everything will change! and there’s no way you’ll want to paint a wall hanging once you’ve got five classes of papers and projects and textbook readings. (oddly enough, writing that last sentence made me want to sign up for classes!)

linds, i can see how the princess vs cowgirl could be a tough decision. i’ve always thought of myself as a cowgirl, but if somehow i could be a princess that plays in the mud and still get treated like royalty, i could probably live with that!

yeah, maybe i could just be a cowgirl on weekends, and a princess the rest of the time…

and, yeah, i guess i will be pretty busy in the fall…we’ll see, we’ll see. (:

cowgirl vs. princess. don’t think there’s any question about what i always believed myself to be! though, in all fairness, i incessantly drew pictures of horses all through grade school — maybe i did fancy myself a cowgirl then.
