Martha

Before she was convicted, Martha Stewart received my sympathies. Though I’m all for justice, I felt weird about this domestic diva serving a prison sentence—and today it seems even weirder that she’s actually in jail. Don’t get me wrong, I believe she was guilty of a crime and is rightfully paying the due penalty. I can’t help, though, but be impressed by her straightforward approach to serving her time and regaining her freedom. I actually think she’ll be just as popular and successful as ever once her incarceration is over.

no, because i am planning take her place as domestic goddess.

“today, we’re going to have a lovely time making a perfect upside-down goose-egg omelete cake with cranberry dressing. first, i’m going to flood the cranberry field in my backyard. next, we shall evade the killer male goose and grab some eggs from his unsuspecting wife–it’s best to wear a camouflage apron in these circumstances…um…eh, how about a grilled cheese sandwich instead?”

You’d be perfect, DD. See? You already know all about things like evading the killer male goose in order to grab his wife egg’s. Huh. That sounds kinda strange when you write it out!

Your mom is the closest thing to Martha Stewart that I know — only in the good ways of course! So who are you more like? Your mom or your dad?

argh…i still haven’t seen that! i feel that i’m not complete until i’ve seen this movie.

Maybe Lindsay feels differently, but I wish I had saved my $8 and waited for the video. I laughed long and hard a few times so it was fun… Just not $8 worth!

I spent $12 on it and it was worth every penny. :)

To each his own… To my dear B, Mr. Dynamite.

Well, if I’m being given people, I’d rather have Pedro and the protection he offers. ;)

gar! i don’t like not being able to contribute to movie quotage due to not having seen the movie. it puts a damper in my day.

  14. RT Dec 2, 2004 7:00 PM

I am so not a quote person (which according to B reduces my cool quotient). How do y’all remember this stuff??

  15. bethany Dec 3, 2004 2:39 AM

RT – It really doesn’t reduce your cool quotient at all. :) I was just being silly. I wish I could remember, say, things I read as easily as I remember things I hear/see in movies/tv. Alas.

  16. RT Dec 3, 2004 11:24 AM

Thanks, silly B. If I have an ounce of coolness in your eyes, well, that just all that matters to me.

I wish I could remember scripture half as well as I remember songs and poetry from my youth. Anyone ready to hear “The Friendly Cow”? What? No?? Another day perhaps…
