Country Road

I think I’ve posted this photograph before, but it speaks to me today of everything I love about spring and warm weather. Green grass, warm sunshine, going for walks in beautiful locations…. Mmmm. Sounds lovely! Fortunately, we’re having nice weather today. I intend to get outside a bit and rake up those pesky winter leaves on our lawn. But still, I can’t wait for the warmth of spring. I’m envious of my fellow bloggers from Chattanooga and New Orleans!

Brr. It’s cold today! Actually below 60 degrees! :O

Heh. Our “warm” yesterday was about 55! People in Nebraska start wearing sandals and shorts at 55 — not people in their right minds, but still…

It’s warm here? I had no idea! I mean, the snow on Tuesday was a clue that it definitely isn’t warm.

Naw… I’m just making fun. It is actually suppossed to get to 55 today, which is nice but I know it could be warmer.

Com’on Chattanooga, get warm! You have the potential, just apply yourself!

Here’s wishing you happy dreams of warm, spring days!

Wait a minute! Bob & Michelle have pics up of blossoming cherry trees and one daffodil. Doth my eyes deceive me? ; )

No, there are blooms coming up. Our creeping phlox has started to flower. But it did snow on Tuesday and yesterday I will admit to wearing long underwear. But we caught the tailend of the nor’easter, so we are a tad chilly here. I think we will be stuck in the 50s for the next few days.

I just checked out the 10-day forecasts on weather.com and the actual temps of Chatt. and Lincoln are similar (though we tend to go back and forth between warm and cold every other minute or so). Still, I can’t wait for our flowers to start blooming… I think of your dogwoods and cherry trees and remember how much I love the south! True dogwoods can’t survive this far north. Hopefully we’ll be coming down to Covenant for Andrew’s graduation in May — and then we’ll enjoy the beauty you guys see daily from St. Elmo!

Does Andrew live in St. Elmo?

    No, he lives on Lookout.
