Story in Photos: Face Paint

Posted on Jan 3, 2009 at 8:43 PM in Blogging, Photography

This month I’m going to attempt to tell stories in photos. Apart from this little explanation of what I’m doing, I’ll try to remain wordless. Those who know me in person know that I am rarely wordless, even in the format of blogging. Hey, there’s a first time for everything, right?

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!!!
We think they are both gorgeous.

Can’t imagine the fun you had cleaning Livia up :)

Awesome! I’m going to miss your always enjoyable commentary, but I love the extra photos that I’m getting in exchange. Although I enjoyed them all, I love the second photo of anticipation and the last scary painted face on my lovely niece!

I don’t even want to KNOW what kind of havoc those would cause in our house. Maybe when they’re a little older and less, um, messy.

Hello Rebecca, I’ve just discovered your blog and I think it’s lovely. And I feel a bit in the same mood, this month: less words, more pictures…

Wow! You should totally send Liv to her first day of elementary school like that.

SO FUN! I love how Livia went from Charlie Chaplin to … full-on war paint.

Oh my gosh, that last picture of Liv is kinda psychotic!! But still funny. And I love that you painted your face, too. :)

Commenting isn’t blogging, therefore I will speak here. ; )

Liv did ALL the face painting. I let her do mine, then she spent a long time making her own “clown” face. I think she did an amazing job–especially on the red around her eyes. Future makeup artist perhaps?

FUN! I have never met a child who didn’t love facepaint!

Great use of depth of field in the first two images and the texture in the last one is sweet.
